1. Identity of the publisher
Drive Video is a desktop application published by SmartCore LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of South Dakota, United States.
- Principal address: 25 First Ave SW STE A, Watertown, SD 57201, United States of America

2. What Drive Video does NOT collect
By design, Drive Video does not collect telemetry, analytics, or usage data by default. Specifically, in its default configuration, the Drive Video desktop application does not:
- Transmit your video files, project content, or generated output to SmartCore LLC or any third party.
- Track your usage of the application or its features.
- Read or scan personal files outside of those you explicitly open in the application.
- Embed third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or fingerprinting libraries.
All video processing performed by Drive Video happens entirely on your local device.
3. What Drive Video DOES collect locally (on your device)
Drive Video maintains a local audit log on your device at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Smartcore\logs\install.log. This log records install / launch / consent / self-verification events for the purpose of enterprise compliance review (GDPR Article 7, internal IT audit). The log never leaves your device unless you choose to share it for support purposes.
4. Software updates
When checking for or downloading software updates, Drive Video contacts SmartCore LLC's update server. This contact is limited to:
- Your IP address and HTTPS request headers (standard for any web request).
- The currently installed Drive Video version (so we can determine whether an update is applicable).
This information is retained briefly in standard server logs for security and operational purposes and is not used for profiling.
5. Optional diagnostics (opt-in)
Drive Video may offer optional diagnostic submission to help us improve the product. Any such diagnostic submission is opt-in only and must be explicitly enabled by you in the application's settings. Diagnostics, when enabled, may include anonymized crash reports and aggregate feature usage; they never include the content of your video files or projects.
6. Information you provide to SmartCore directly
If you contact us by email or web form, we receive the information you submit (e.g., your email address and message content). We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a record of business correspondence.
7. Children's privacy
Drive Video is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and the State of California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
9. International transfers
SmartCore LLC operates from the United States. Any personal information you provide will be processed in the United States, subject to U.S. federal and South Dakota state law.
